Shipping Policies
Bicycle shipping is a flat $100.
Standard ground shipping within Canada is free on orders over $150.
Exceptions may apply to oversized or overweight items, as well as deliveries to remote or rural locations within Canada. Additional shipping charges may apply in these cases.
Shipping to PO BOX's within Canada is only accepted for lightweight products with a total shipping weight of under 2 lbs. (examples of this include a pair of gloves). Otherwise there are no shipping services to PO BOX's within Canada.
Bicycles may not be shipped to any PO BOX's.
Free In-Store Pickup
Pickup is always free for all items in the online catalog.
Once the order is ready, the customer receives an email notification.
- Processing time: 24-72 hours.
- Pickup location: at the Sales Counter or through any store staff member.
- The customer must have the order confirmation in digital or printed form.
- Pickup also requires a photo ID and the credit card used for the purchase. Bring photo ID that matches to your order details.
- Customers are asked to collect the order within 7 business days or arrange other terms with the Online Customer Service Team.
- If an order is not picked up within 30 days, it is returned to inventory and the payment is converted to in-store credit.
Pick up dates are estimates and can vary as some orders are transferred between locations or ordered from supplier. Please wait for an order update that is Ready For Pick Up.
Shipment Insurance
All orders are insured and require signature. Packages will not be released without signature to prevent the possibility of theft or damages. If multiple delivery attempts by the courier are unsuccessful, the package will be rerouted to the nearest depot for the customer to retrieve.
Shipping in Canada - Standard Ground
Free standard shipping on orders over $150. Some exclusions apply. We do not offer standard shipping to Yukon, Nunavut, or the Northwest Territories.

Orders shipped outside Canada are not charged Canadian taxes. However, they may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees in the destination country.
BC PST Exemptions
- PST is refunded during order processing for non-motorized bicycles and pedal assist bicycles.
- PST is refunded for parts that provide the bicycle's essential function.
- PST is refunded for bicycle safety equipment.
- When purchased together with a bicycle, accessories attached to the bike (such as bells, bags, lights, etc.) are also PST-exempt; when purchased separately, those items do not qualify.
Restrictions, Backorders, and Cancellations
- Shipping restrictions may apply to certain products and destinations; reasons include regional distributor agreements, hazardous or oversized products, and the difficulty of exporting certain items.
- If an item is temporarily out of stock, a backorder may be available, which reserves the next incoming supply. These items are typically shipped within 4-5 weeks, and the store sends an email notification when the order ships.
- If an item has not yet reached stores, a pre-order may be placed. The shipping estimate is 4-5 weeks, but the timeline may vary significantly depending on the product and supplier.
- To cancel requested items, the page instructs customers to email orders@thebikezone.com with the subject line "Cancel Online Order #" and the order number, or call 905-232-1321.
- If requested items are no longer available, the store notifies the customer by email.
- If Items have been special ordered from supplier before cancellation request, the order can not be cancelled.
- All orders that have been cancelled after order confirmation are subject to a 5% processing fee.
