The Hope Tech 4 E4 hydraulic disc brake builds on the Tech 3 platform with increased pressure, improved ergonomics, and a tuned balance of power and modulation.

Highlights

30% pressure increase compared with the Tech 3 brake.
Updated lever shape improves ergonomics and mechanical advantage during braking.
Hinged clamp reduces weight and improves ergonomics.
Tool-free bite-point and reach adjustments.
Rigid CNC-machined one-piece caliper.
Improved shifter integration provides more adjustment and compatibility with current shifter options.
Hydraulic ratio is improved through a small-diameter master-cylinder bore.
Mechanical ratio is tuned for increased power, modulation, and usable lever feel throughout the adjustment range.
Hybrid pistons use stainless-steel shells for smooth movement and phenolic inserts for heat management.
Supplied with racing-compound pads designed for strong performance with minimal bedding-in and improved fade resistance.
